It is Hi Ho Cherry O's 20th BIRTHDAY
So we would like to honour those that have supported our store by offering a great opportunity to donate those unwanted or used puzzles and games! Hi Ho Cherry O will accept any BOXED game or puzzle which is COMPLETE, and will deliver them to 20 disadvantaged educares and primary schools in the area!
But that’s not all – for each donated game or puzzle, you will receive a 20% discount voucher off a new game or puzzle of equal value! In this way, everyone benefits! So tell your child’s schoolteachers and email your friends – this is the time to sort out your cupboards and bring us all those educational games and puzzles that still have the potential to help a deserving child!
We are busy compiling the list of 20 schools … so if you know of a deserving school in the Constantia Valley or thereabouts, kindly drop us an email to hihocherryo@mweb.co.za!

Fun Activities planned for the month of October!
Most of the action happens during the school holidays! There will be a jumping castle set out on the lawn for the children and on certain days, free face painting and balloons!
During the school holidays and on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings, special craft workshops will be held outside Hi Ho Cherry O on tables, supervised by adult crafters. Certain days there will be two tables, TEN children per table, with different activities per table. The activities would take approximately 90 minutes (unless otherwise stated), and parents are welcome to leave their children with us for this time. The activities are designed for children from the age of 4 years upwards (no age limit!)
Pre-bookings will be taken for each craft session, but as only TEN children per table can be accommodated, we advise that early booking and payment is made, to avoid disappointment. Payment must be made in the store, by CASH only, before the class commences. We will take telephone bookings, but please secure your child’s place by coming in to pay as soon as possible thereafter.
There will be a COLOURING IN COMPETITION set up on two tables inside or outside the shop, with a draw for the 20 BEST ENTRIES held on Saturday 29 October. Come along anytime between Saturday 1st and Friday 28th October, collect your picture, sit at the table and colour in with wax crayons! Free to enter!
Lonpos IQ games (for 8years & over) – no fee… just come along and be timed to see how quick you can solve the famous LONPOS games Hi Ho Cherry O sells! Paul Maratos will be on hand to find out who’s the quickest! Contests held on Thursday 6th (2-5pm) and Saturday 22nd and 29th (11am-2pm). The fastest wins a game of his/her choice!
Baby and Toddler Photographic Competition will be held outside Hi Ho Cherry O on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th (9am – 5pm) and on Saturday 15th (9am – 2pm). The photographer is Arthur Buitendag from Studio 8 (www.studio8photography.co.za) and he will take a portfolio of your child at no cost to you or obligation to buy. All photos will be entered into a competition under 3 categories:
Babies 0 – 12months / Toddlers 1 – 3 years / Children 3 – 6 years and there are 3 great prizes:
1st Prize: R1000
2nd Prize: R500
3rd Prize: R300
Don’t forget our Lucky Draw for Tillslips! All purchases over R200 are entered into a draw for a hamper of Educational Toys from Hi Ho Cherry O! This will also be drawn on Saturday 29th October.
